The new Google Docs app for iOS or Android is having a feature that will result in displaying a menu of the documents you stored in Drive as well as listing the ones you edited most recently on top. The app also has the option that allows users to customize the view and sorting, enabling better editing across devices. Until now, the users only have the option to access Google Docs and Google Sheets via Google Drive or online, but these apps have provided the whole new experience as specific content is now more easily accessible and that too in the offline mode. Google has been quoted saying that “Every year, phones and tablets get better, and more of you are starting to use your mobile devices not just to view, but also to create and edit content. And while Drive is a convenient place to store your stuff, we want to make it easier for you to quickly find, edit and create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations on the go.” Moreover, Google is also presently working towards launching a Google Slides standalone app soon, but has not disclosed any information regarding the specific date of its launch.
