Unfortunately the Apple Watch app is part of a list of default Apple apps that cannot be deleted, so you will not be able to follow the steps in this article to delete an app like you would with third-party apps downloaded through the App Store. Therefore, the best method for dealing with the Apple Watch is to simply hide it in a folder, along with the other default apps that you might not be using on your iPhone.

Moving the Apple Watch Icon into a Folder on the iPhone 6

The steps in this article were written using an iPhone 6 Plus, after the iOS 8.2 update. We are going to be placing the Apple Watch app icon in a Utilities folder that contains several other default Apple apps that cannot be deleted, and that I do not use. You can follow these same steps to place the app icon into a different folder on your device. Step 1: Locate the Apple Watch icon. Step 2: Tap and hold the icon until all of the app icons on the screen start to shake, and a small x appears at the top-left corner of some of them. Step 3: Tap and drag the Apple Watch icon to the folder where you wish to hide it. If the folder is on a different page, then you will need to drag the icon to the edge of the screen to navigate to the next page. Step 4: Drag the Apple Watch icon on top of the folder, then release it to add the app to that folder. You can touch the Home button under your screen when you are done to stop the app icons from shaking. If there is not already an existing app folder to which you wish to app the Apple watch icon, then you can create a new folder by dragging the Apple Watch icon on top of another app icon that you also wish to include in the folder.
